Our Story

At sunrise, Mengo Fresh Market slowly came to life as traders arranged piles of bright tomatoes, green vegetables, and ripe bananas on their wooden stalls. The air filled with the sounds of greetings, laughter, and bargaining as customers began arriving one by one. A young boy named Kato followed his mother through the busy paths, amazed by the colors and smells all around him.

As they moved from stall to stall, his mother carefully selected fresh produce while chatting with familiar vendors. One kind seller even gave Kato a free mango, making him smile with excitement. Nearby, traders called out their prices, competing for customers in a friendly but energetic way.

By midday, the market was crowded and lively, full of movement and noise. To Kato, it felt like a small city of its own, where everyone had a role to play.
